First the game. It is a 100 player shooter split into three teams, fighting over a randomised two kilometre by two kilometre control zone inside a 256 square kilometre map. First team to 100 points wins. There are vehicles, building and destruction, a persistent cash metagame that starts you on $10,000, and proximity voice chat that carries across all three teams, so you can hear the people trying to kill you. Bulkhead in Derby made it, Team17 publishes.

Australian pricing on Steam is A$54.95, or A$67.95 for the Supporter Edition, with a Supporter Pack DLC at A$17.95. Team17 has confirmed on Steam that the Early Access price is lower than the full release price will be, so it goes up later.

Consoles are confirmed for 2028. That comes from Team17's own launch announcement, which says consoles in 2028 without naming which ones. The PS5 and Xbox specifics in circulation come from the press release rather than that post, so take the platforms as likely rather than official.

Now the million. Bulkhead's CEO Joe Brammer is quoted in a statement issued to press saying that crossing a million copies sold as they launch into Early Access is mental. It is worth being straight about where that number lives: it is in a press statement, not on Team17's site, not on Bulkhead's site, and not in the game's own Steam announcements. It may well be right. It just is not something either company has published anywhere you can point at.

The launch itself was rough. Team17 put out a post titled Launch Stability Hotfix #1 covering players who could not join servers, players getting kicked mid match, and long login queues, with the team working through the night on it. Steam user reviews currently sit at Mixed, with 59 per cent of just over 7,000 English reviews positive. A Season 1 patch has also rebalanced progression so the top tier unlocks take longer to get to, which is generating its own noise.

The US$100,000 clip contest is real and confirmed on Steam. Post your best moments with the hashtag or submit through their site.
