The indie stream run by Dead Cells studio Evil Empire is back for a second time in 2026, with 45 minutes of trailers on 8 October that reach Australian screens in the early hours of 9 October.
Evil Empire, the French studio behind Dead Cells, has announced a surprise second Triple-i Initiative for 2026. The show airs on Thursday 8 October at 9am Pacific time. For Brisbane that is 2am AEST on Friday 9 October. Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Canberra will be on daylight saving by then, so it is 3am there. It streams on the Triple-i Initiative YouTube and Twitch channels.
The format has not changed. There are no hosts, no ads and no sponsor breaks, just trailers played back to back. The organisers say the show covers around 40 games and includes eight world premieres, with new games from Team17, Amanita Design, Strange Scaffold and Norsfell among them.
Games already confirmed for the stream include Dave the Diver, Brotato, Chained Together, Risk of Rain 2, Windrose, Militsioner, a new Among Us title from Innersloth, Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, Haunted Paws, Outward 2 and Hela: of Mice and Magic. Expect a mix of gameplay reveals, release dates and demo drops rather than one big headline reveal.
The full studio list runs to 38 names and sits under the announcement trailer on the official YouTube channel. It also includes Croteam, Digital Sun Games, Firefly Studios, Gearbox Software with Hopoo Games, Daniel Mullins Games, Nine Dots Studio and Mintrocket.
The Triple-i Initiative started in 2024 and had run once a year until now, most recently on 9 April 2026. This is the first time it has come back for a second round in the same year.
For Australian viewers the timing is the catch. A 2am start on a Friday rules out most parents, but the full show goes up on YouTube straight after, and the April edition was online within hours. Nothing shown on the night will carry an Australian price, so any buying decisions can wait for the store pages.
