THE FINALS is heading to space. Season 11, Galaxy Masters, drops on 9 July with a brand-new map, a rebuilt melee system and fresh bots in Cashout.
Embark Studios has teased the next season of its free-to-play game show, and the theme is the stars. It is called Galaxy Masters, leaning hard into science fiction, space travel, astronauts and a retro-futurist look. Embark is running a full Reveal and Launch show on 9 July, and the new season goes live straight after the show ends.
From what has been confirmed so far, Season 11 brings a brand-new map, a reworked melee combat system, and new bots turning up in Cashout, the game's main mode. Season 10 wraps up the day before, on 8 July, so if you are chasing anything left in the current battle pass, that is your cut-off.
For anyone in Australia wanting to watch it live, the reveal show is set for 2:30pm CEST, which is around 10:30pm AEST on Thursday 9 July, streaming on THE FINALS YouTube channel. If you have not played it, THE FINALS is a first-person team shooter built around a game show, where the arenas can be altered, exploited and blown apart mid-match. It is free to play on PC through Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The reason I rate this one for a busy schedule is simple. It costs nothing to try, and a match is done in a few minutes, so you can drop in for one round and walk away. It is a competitive shooter though, so it is worth a heads up if little ones are watching over your shoulder.
