The Alters Complete Edition arrives on a PS5 disc on 20 November 2026. Silver Lining Interactive, the UK publisher that handles the boxed versions of 11 bit studios' survival game, announced the date on 15 September. It costs £34.99 in the UK, €39.99 in Europe and US$39.99 in the United States. No Australian price yet.

The disc holds the base game, the Last Variable story expansion and four deluxe outfits: the spacesuit and the tracksuit, each in gold and silver. It's the first time the expansion has shipped on physical media. Last year's standard PS5 disc carried the base game only, so anyone who wanted Last Variable had to buy it from the PlayStation Store.

Last Variable follows the ending where the Jan Scientist stays behind on the planet. He builds an underground base, fills it with specialist clones of himself, and sets out to understand a patch of living surface called the Oasis. 11 bit studios puts the expansion at around 20 hours. It came out digitally on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in July.

For anyone who skipped it, The Alters is a single player survival game about Jan Dolski, a worker stranded on a hostile planet who grows alternate versions of himself to crew a rolling base that has to outrun a lethal sunrise. The site covered the Last Variable expansion when it was dated in July.

Pre-orders are open at Silver Lining's own online store, and the publisher says major retailers have it too. At the time of writing, none of JB Hi-Fi, EB Games or Amazon Australia had a listing up, and no AUD price has been published. Silver Lining Direct lists Australia in its country picker and charges in pounds, so £34.99 plus postage is the only confirmed route for Australian buyers for now.

Only the PS5 disc has been announced. Silver Lining has not said anything about a boxed Complete Edition for Xbox Series X or PC, and the digital game and expansion remain available separately on every platform. For PS5 owners who prefer a disc they can lend, resell or keep on a shelf, this is the base game and a 20 hour expansion in one box for the same UK price as the original standard disc.
