Double Fine's game page for Thank You Bus Driver now lists a release date of 14 October 2026. Microsoft Windows is the only platform listed.

The game was announced on 4 September. You drive a small town's bus and enforce rules that change every day, slapping the people who break them and tossing repeat offenders off. Passengers who are happy with the ride give you Thank Yous, which unlock cosmetics and variations on the town.

The game page does not list a price, and that is all we could confirm from the studio's own pages. It is the first game from Double Fine Action Labs, the studio's label for smaller, stranger projects. Double Fine confirmed in August that it is no longer part of Xbox.

Why it matters: the wait is short. The date is a little over two weeks away, and Windows is the only platform Double Fine has named.
