Bob is back. Bandai Namco showed off the burger-flipping heavyweight at Evo 2026, and he swings into Tekken 8 as the second Season 3 fighter next month.
Bandai Namco dropped Bob's gameplay trailer at Evo 2026 in Las Vegas, the same night Arslan Ash took the championship. Bob, nicknamed the "Onigiri Savior", first turned up back in Tekken 6, and he's the second DLC character of Season 3. He arrives for Season Pass 3 holders on Thursday 20 August, then unlocks for everyone else on Tuesday 25 August, with North America getting him a day earlier. Tekken 8 is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
What makes Bob worth a look is the mismatch. He's a big unit who moves like a lightweight, chaining quick combos, airborne hits and fast dodges off a heavyweight frame. The new trailer even has him carrying a skateboard, which looks set to be part of his moveset. His backstory is exactly as daft as you'd want from Tekken: after a hiding from Bryan he ends up in hospital, gets sick of the bland food, invents his own burger recipe, and builds a fast-food empire called Bob's Onigiri before wading back into the fight against Kazuya.
Bob joins Kunimitsu, who's already out, with Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma still to come in Season 3. A Roger Jr. trailer is set to premiere at Evo France on 11 October.
There was one more thing for anyone with kids in the house. Bandai Namco also announced Tekken! Cartoon, a spin-off animated series of bite-sized episodes under a minute each, starting 10 July. The first season features Paul, Yoshimitsu, Kazuya, Alisa and Kuma in a cute cartoon style, so it might be an easy one to put on for the little ones.
