Targem Games announced Star Conflict: Burrownauts on 16 September. It is an action roguelite set in the Star Conflict universe that mixes slow resource mining with fast bullet heaven fights to protect a base. A playtest is already running, and a Steam playtest is taking sign-ups.
Targem is the Russian studio behind the vehicle combat game Crossout and the space shooter Star Conflict. Burrownauts is a spin-off rather than a sequel, and it runs on a loop of digging out resources, upgrading, then holding off waves of enemies in the style of Vampire Survivors.
The playtest is open now with no restrictions on sharing footage, so streams, videos and written impressions are all allowed. The Steam page is live for wishlisting, and Targem says the Steam playtest will open soon once it has collected sign-ups.
There is no release date, no price and no mention of consoles. The announcement trailer went up on Targem's own channel on 16 September.
