SlashZero had a new story trailer in PlayStation's State of Play on 3 September, which aired overnight into Friday morning for us. It's a 3D anime-style side-scrolling action roguelike set in a cyberpunk world. You play a Timehacker jumping between collapsing timelines to hunt down a villain called HIEROS-I, and the combat is built around fast hack-and-slash with heavy aerial combos and parkour-style movement across layered stages. Each run you pick up Blessings, Temporal Fragments and Upgrade Chips to shape your build, and there are permanent base upgrades between runs.

The developer is Streetlamp Studio and the publisher is Skystone Games, which was founded in 2020 by Bill Wang and David Brevik, the man who created Diablo. It's coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and to PS5. The launch window is spring 2027 in the northern hemisphere, so roughly March to June. The Steam page currently says Q1 2027 and the PlayStation Store says to be determined, which tells you how firm that is.

The demo went live alongside the trailer on both PS5 and Steam (Windows only on PC). It has three playable characters, the two default Timehackers Nyx and Fina plus a new unlockable one, Hamlet, along with multiple secret bosses and what Streetlamp says is over ten hours of gameplay. It's a time-limited test, and the studio has been upfront that all demo saves are deleted when it ends.

That ending is the bit to watch. The demo runs until 23 September, and the developer's own Steam post puts the cut-off at 15:00 UTC, which is 1am AEST on Thursday 24 September. The publisher's press materials quote a Pacific time that's seven hours later, so there's a bit of wobble in the exact hour. Play it as if it closes Wednesday night and you won't get caught out.
