Sandwalkers, the turn-based roguelike from French developer Goblinz Studio, is coming to consoles next week. The Australian PlayStation Store has it down for 24 September 2026 at midnight AEST, and the Xbox store lists it for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on the same day. Red Art Games is the publisher on both. A Nintendo Switch version has been reported for the same date, but it had not appeared on the Australian eShop when this was checked.

Players lead a caravan from the Mka tribe across a desert wrecked by acid rain, sandstorms and heat waves, with pirates and monsters to fight along the way. The long game is finding and reviving the Mother Tree Umama. When a caravan fails, what it learned passes to the next one, so each run leaves the following crew better placed. Characters have different jobs. An archaeologist can dig through ruins, a hunter tracks large creatures, and the weather changes how far the caravan can move and how fights go.

Goblinz is the studio behind Legend of Keepers, and Sandwalkers uses the same pixel art look. The PC version has been on Steam since 8 April 2025 after a year in Early Access, priced at US$19.99, and it picked up controller support in a November 2025 update. Red Art Games' console announcement lists an interface reworked for consoles along with full controller play.

On the Australian side, the PlayStation Store page carries an M rating from the Classification Board for mature themes and violence. There is no Australian price on either store yet, and neither listing was taking pre-orders when checked. Nothing has been said about Game Pass or PlayStation Plus.

This is one for people who like a strategy game they can put down mid-run and pick up a week later. Turns wait for you, and progress carries between caravans. Until the Australian stores publish a price, the PC version's US$19.99 is the only guide to what it might cost.
