Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy is out on 12 November. Nintendo confirmed it in the Direct and the Australian store already has both prices up.
The Switch 2 Edition is the whole of Pikmin 4 with the usual resolution and frame rate lift, plus one new trick: you can give voice commands to Oatchi, your dog, through the console's built-in microphone. Yelling at a dog to fetch something is about as natural a use of that mic as Nintendo has come up with.
Dandori Academy is the new mode. It's built around collecting treasure as fast as you can across a set of stages, with medals for your time, three difficulty levels and online leaderboards. The twist is weekly exams: they run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you get one attempt per week, and your score goes up against everyone else's. Nintendo says 72 stages will be released over time rather than all at once. There's GameShare support too, so a second player can join from another Switch 2 without owning the game.
Australian pricing. The full Switch 2 Edition is $99.95 physical or digital. If you already own Pikmin 4 on Switch, the upgrade pack is $20 on the eShop and brings across everything above. Both are dated 12 November 2026 on the Australian store.
