Kojima said the two are long-time fans of each other's work and that costume fittings, scans and camera tests with Skarsgård and Fraser earlier this year gave him confidence in where the project is heading. More casting is still to come. The new poster uses a photo Kojima took of the pair during that session, and it carries the tagline The Next Cold War Begins, which is as much plot as anyone has been given.

Kojima called Physint the culmination of more than 40 years of his career and described it as action espionage that doesn't sit inside an existing genre. Xbox is publishing it, a deal announced on 9 September, and the partnership also covers film and television. What Xbox and Kojima Productions haven't said is which platforms it's on or when it's out. The poster carries an Xbox logo and nothing else, so treat any platform list you see elsewhere as a guess.

There was an update on OD: Knock as well, the horror game Kojima Productions is making with Xbox. Kojima said development is going smoothly, that performance capture and dialogue recording paused by the SAG strike resumed this year, and that production is on schedule. He showed behind-the-scenes footage of Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer in a capture session. No trailer, no date, no platforms.

Kojima Productions marks ten years as an independent studio this year and says it's working on two new IPs with Xbox. The segment ran a little over four minutes and is on the Xbox YouTube channel above.
