Nivalis Nights has passed one million wishlists on Steam, 505 Games and developer ION LANDS said on 17 September. The cyberpunk life sim launches on Steam on 29 September 2026 US time, which shows as 30 September on the Australian store.
For scale, ION LANDS creative director Marko Dieckmann said the studio launched Cloudpunk in 2020 with about 130,000 wishlists, and that felt big at the time. Steam doesn't publish wishlist counts, so the million figure is the publisher's own.
Nivalis Nights goes back to the flooded city from Cloudpunk and hands you a life in it. You start with a noodle stand or a small bar and grow it into something bigger, buy ingredients at the markets or fish and farm your own, get about on foot or by boat, decorate a home above the clouds and get to know the locals. There's no pressure to do any of it in a set order, which is the appeal of this sort of game for anyone who plays in half-hour windows.
Two things to be clear on. There's no price on the Steam page yet and no pre-order, only a wishlist button. And this is a PC game for now: Steam on 29 September, then the Epic Games Store at a later date that 505 says it'll confirm in the coming weeks. Nothing has been announced for consoles.
The game was known simply as Nivalis until 30 June, when the studio renamed it and set the date. Minimum specs on Steam ask for 16GB of RAM, a 6GB graphics card and 30GB of storage.
