Vanillaware's hand painted action game has a date. Muramasa: Revenant Blades is out 4 February 2027, and it is on four platforms.
Marvelous Europe's announcement is specific: the game launches across Europe and Australia on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, and globally on Windows PC via Steam, on 4 February 2027. Marvelous Europe is the rights holder for Australia, so that is the one that matters locally.
It is not just a resolution bump. Revenant Blades combines Muramasa: Rebirth with its Genroku Legends DLC into one package, upgraded to 4K. English voice acting is in for the first time in the series. All six protagonists are available from the start rather than unlocked, and there are new combat and weapon systems. There is also a classic mode containing the original Vita versions, which is a nice thing to include rather than quietly bury.
Vanillaware developed it. Publishing is split by region, with Marvelous USA and XSEED Games in the Americas, Marvelous Europe across Europe and Australia, and Marvelous Inc in Asia.
On price, there is no Australian figure. Marvelous has published physical preorder recommended prices of 49.99 euro and £44.99 for the standard edition, and 69.99 euro and £59.99 for the Deluxe, and has said explicitly that details on digital editions for console and PC will be announced later. Steam Australia has no price up. The US figures being quoted around the place are for the Americas edition and are not confirmed for here, so I would not convert them.
Physical preorders are described as coming soon through participating retailers, with no Australian retailer or date named yet.
