Marvel's Wolverine is out. Insomniac Games, the studio behind Marvel's Spider-Man, released it on PlayStation 5 on 15 September 2026. The Australian PlayStation Store unlocked it at midnight AEST. It is a PS5 game only, with no PlayStation 4 version, and it isn't part of PlayStation Plus.

The Standard Edition is $124.95. The Digital Deluxe Edition is $139.95 and adds five suits, five claw designs and extra Technique Points, plus the early unlocks that came with pre-orders: the Classic Brown suit, Reflective Claws and four PlayStation avatars. Anyone who buys the standard game can move up to the Deluxe content later for $15.00.

The Australian Classification Board has rated it MA 15+ for strong violence, and the store listing flags in-game purchases. It is a single-player, story-led action game rather than an open world. Logan rejoins the mutant task force Team X three years after walking out on them, and the fight against Bolivar Trask runs through the Canadian wilderness, Tokyo and the island nation of Madripoor.

On PS5 Pro the game is labelled PS5 Pro Enhanced, and PlayStation says it uses PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution for sharper image quality and frame rates. The store lists 35 accessibility options, including adjustable difficulty, a slower game speed setting, skippable puzzles and full controller remapping.

The Battle Yellow limited edition PS5 Digital Edition bundle and matching DualSense controller went on sale the same day. Kropp Gaming covered those prices in August, along with the hands-on previews and the Australian game price.

Insomniac hasn't published launch-week patch notes on its own support site or on the PlayStation Blog as of 16 September. Anything about post-launch changes will have to wait for the studio to say so directly.

It costs $124.95, it is PS5 only and single player, and the MA 15+ rating means it is built for adults and older teens rather than something the whole family can share.
