If the name is new to you, the pitch is blackjack with the rules bent out of shape. Suits are gone, replaced by decks full of tarot cards, business cards, loyalty punch cards and hall passes that change point totals, deal damage or pinch chips off the opponent. Runs go floor by floor through a tavern, and Lucky Charms bolt on effects that last the whole run. Hands take a minute or two, which is why it's a good fit for a console you play in short bursts.

The 2.0 update landed on Steam on 30 July and is the version consoles get. It added four floors (Surveillance, Laboratory, Anxiety and Apathy), more than 50 Lucky Charms, custom runs with adjustable rules, a daily run with a fixed deck and modifiers, three new cards and a new Unique Chip.

The game is made by Purple Moss Collectors, a small studio in New Zealand, and has been on Steam since August 2024. Yogscast says it grossed more than a million dollars in its first month there. The Australian PlayStation Store lists it for 9 October at 11am AEST with no price yet, and Kropp Gaming couldn't find a Switch eShop listing at the time of writing.

The Steam version normally sells for $21.95 and is 50 per cent off at $10.97 until 26 September, so PC players have a cheap way in before the console launch.
