Dave the Diver has sold more than 10 million copies. Mintrocket, the Seoul studio behind it, announced the number this week, and the timing lines up with the mobile version arriving on 17 September.
The 10 million counts every platform: PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2, plus mobile, where a soft launch in China has already moved about a million on its own. Mintrocket says the game crossed the line in August. It first turned up on Steam in early access in October 2022, so that's a shade under four years for a game about running a sushi bar at night and diving for the fish during the day.
The In the Jungle DLC, which came out on 18 June and takes Dave inland, has passed a million units as well, and Mintrocket is happy to point out it's sitting at 91 on OpenCritic. Studio head Jaeho Hwang also name-checked Bancho The Chef, the spin-off, as the next thing the team is working toward.
The mobile version arrives on the App Store and Google Play on 17 September. The Australian App Store listing is already up for pre-order and shows it as free to download with in-app purchases, which usually means a free opening chunk and a one-off unlock for the rest. Mintrocket hasn't published the Australian unlock price yet, so we'll leave that blank rather than guess.
