No build up, no countdown. Square Enix put Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion on Switch 2 on 10 September and it is already discounted.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is available on Nintendo Switch 2 now. Square Enix announced and released it on the same day, 10 September, with a launch discount of 30 per cent that runs until 23 September at 11:59pm local time.
Reunion is the 2022 remaster of the 2007 PSP game, rebuilt with new graphics, full voice acting and a reworked combat system. It follows Zack Fair in the years before Final Fantasy VII, which makes it the obvious thing to play before Square Enix gets to the next part of the remake series.
It was already on Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, so the Switch 2 version is about getting the better hardware version onto the handheld people are actually using, rather than filling a gap.
