Pearl Abyss has pushed Crimson Desert's first expansion, Charting the Unknown, back two weeks, from 15 October to 29 October.
The studio posted the change on Steam on 30 September. The new date is 29 October 2026, given in GMT and PT. Pearl Abyss says it needs more development time to make the DLC more polished and stable, and it apologised to players for the extra wait.
Charting the Unknown lets you take a ship out across the ocean to islands off the coast, then dive under the surface for treasure and sunken ruins. Pearl Abyss also lists new enemies on land and sea, facilities you can rent and run for profit, an upgraded Housing mode, and new story threads set across Pywel.
The DLC needs the base game to play. The Steam listing shows US$24.99, and the official DLC page names PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, the Epic Games Store and GeForce Now as places to buy it. The pre-order bonus announced in September was a set of diving outfits for Kliff, Oongka and Damiane.
Kropp Gaming reviewed the base game in March and gave it 9.5 out of 10.
