The setup: the worlds have frozen in black and white, and every cat you find and photograph with your instant camera brings a bit of colour back. The levels are 3D and drawn in a comic-book style, and you wander through them first-person looking for cats tucked behind things, hiding in plain sight, or locked away behind a small puzzle. Some of them need you to solve a riddle, open a door or work out a contraption before they'll show themselves.

There's a decent amount here for the price. Nine handcrafted levels across three themed worlds, including ancient Egypt, modern Japan and a medieval castle, with more than 725 cats to find and over 50 quests and puzzles. The Steam page lists 63 achievements for the completionists. It's single player, saves to the cloud, and supports Steam Family Sharing, which matters if you've got more than one kid with a Steam account on the family PC.

Price is US$17.99 on Steam, with a 10% introductory discount running until 15 September. Steam should show you the local figure at checkout. There's a supporter bundle with the soundtrack, and a free demo is still up if you want to try it first. Cosmic Stag says Switch and Xbox Series X|S versions are coming later this year, so if the PC isn't where your kids play, it's worth waiting a few months.

The developer is a small Berlin studio and this is their first game. The demo picked up a very positive rating on Steam earlier in the year, which for a hidden-object game is a good sign that the cats are actually hidden well rather than just small.
