Bluey's Happy Snaps has a date. It is out 15 October 2026 on basically everything, it is day one on Xbox Game Pass, and the studio that made it is in Brisbane.
You play as Bluey and Bingo with Dad's old camera, wandering around taking photos and filling up a scrapbook. Two players can go at once on the same couch. That is the whole shape of it, and for the age group it is aimed at, that is plenty.
The part that got my attention is where it is set. Gameloft's levels are built on real Brisbane spots the show uses: New Farm Park for Spy Game, South Bank for Ice-Cream, and Mount Coot-tha for The Sign. My kids have been to two of those in the last year. Seeing them turn up in a game their little sister will actually play is a bit different to the usual licensed kids game.
Gameloft Brisbane developed it, Gameloft publishes, and it is made with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios. Bandai Namco handles the physical copies here in Australia and New Zealand. Screen Queensland's Digital Games Incentive helped fund it.
Platforms are Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Preorders are open now on most of those. Gameloft says Steam preorders are not live yet, but the same preorder offer will be there for Steam players at launch. It is day one on Xbox Game Pass and it supports Xbox Play Anywhere.
On price, the Xbox Australia store has the Deluxe Edition at AU$54.94. EB Games has the physical Switch 2 copy at A$69.95 with a preorder price of A$59.95 and a $10 deposit. Nintendo and PlayStation have not put an Australian price up yet. It is rated G here.
Gameloft also points at independent research led by Professor Daniel Johnson at QUT and the Digital Child, which it says described the game as an exemplar of developmentally enriching digital play. Make of that what you will, but it is a local university looking at a local game, which is more than most kids games can say.
